In 1997, several families believed it was best to begin praying for the Lord’s will concerning their church allegiance.  As they were praying on Thursday evenings, God led a Pastor to come and lead them in Bible Study and prayer. As they continued to meet, they believed God would have them launch out by faith to start what is now called Adirondack Baptist Church. Thus in 1998, the church officially was established. After meeting in homes, the church rented the Sacandaga Bible Conference, then moved to the old Methodist church building in Gloversville, until finally purchasing the land we are currently on and building our first building. In April 2001, we moved into the new building and in May 2001, we called our first Pastor, Pastor Brian Norman.
